Abstract:
The isozymes peroxidase, α-amylase and acid phosphatase from leaves of 42 cultivars of ber (Zizyphus mauritiana, Lamk.) were studied using acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The number of cultivar specific isozyme phenotypes observed were 15 for peroxidase, 18 for amylase and 18 for acid phosphatase. Of the 42 cultivars 40 could be identified with the help of the different isozyme systems.
