pp: 11-16

Abstract:
Two wild taxa (Antirrhinum majus ssp. barrelieri and A. microphyllum) and a commercial cultivar (Floral Carpet) of snapdragon were successfully micropropagated. Seedling nodes were multiplied on MS medium supplemented with 5 µ,M BAP (or 4.44 µ,M for the cultivar). Rooting took place in MS medium without growth regulators. In general terms, the addition of auxins to the medium did not improve the rooting of shoots. High survival percentages (over 80%) were obtained when plantlets were transferred to soil.
