Abstract:
Besides the micrografting methods carried out entirely in vitro, a procedure for grafting microcuttings onto three month old rootstocks obtained in vivo has been developed and has led to 40% successful grafts. This procedure constitutes a great improvement for propagating tree species with economic potential such as Acacia senegal on a large scale. Normal apices grafted under the same conditions did not give successful results.
