Title: Studies on the Vegetative Propagation of the Indian Butter Tree (Aisandra Butyracea (Roxb.) Baehni)
Authors: A. TEWARI and U. DHAR
pp: 11-18
Abstract:
Temporal variation in the rooting ability of cuttings as well as air layering from a population of A. butyracea was determined. The cuttings obtained from natural population and dipped in 500 ppm each IBA + NAA solution for 24 h prior to planting resulted in 79.7% rooting after 75 d of planting in summer. Only 30% of the air layers could root in summer with the aid of 1000 ppm NAA. The significance of these findings for mass clonal propagation of A. butyracea is discussed.
