Abstract:
Genomics now impacts on virtually every area of the biological sciences, including horticulture. It is defined as the study of the complete genetic code, the genome, of an organism and usually includes related information such as the expression and functions of the genes within the genome. My work has involved using genomics to understand how tomato fruit ripen.
